How Offers and Counter-Offers Work on RizSwap (Buyer and Seller Guide)
Quick answer: a buyer sends an offer on a listing, the seller can accept, reject or counter it, and an accepted price moves into escrow. Offers are time-limited (currently 3 days), a buyer can have one open offer per listing, and there is a daily cap on how many offers one buyer can send.
Sending an Offer as a Buyer
- Open the listing and use the offer option. Enter an amount and, if you like, a short message explaining your reasoning.
- The seller is notified. You can have one open offer per listing, so wait for a reply before sending another.
- Offers currently expire after 3 days if the seller does not respond.
- There is also a limit of 10 offers per buyer in any 24 hours, which protects sellers from spam.
Make the offer count: reference real strengths and weak points you found in the listing. Use the listing checklist and our price negotiation guide.
Responding as a Seller
- Accept to agree the price. The deal then proceeds through the escrow process.
- Reject if the amount is too low or you no longer want to sell.
- Counter with a new amount. The buyer sees it as a counter-offer and can accept or reject it.
Respond promptly: slow replies cost you serious buyers. Strengthen your position with an honest listing and trust signals; see how to build trust as a new seller.
What Happens After Acceptance?
When both sides agree a price, the escrow starts. The buyer funds the deal, the seller transfers access, and the buyer confirms before payment is released. Each side pays its own share of the escrow fee. The details are in escrow fees explained, how long escrow takes and how escrow protects both sides.
Chat Versus Offer
Use chat to ask questions and request a live analytics check; use offers to commit to a price. Keep all communication on the platform so there is a record. Never agree to pay outside escrow; see how to avoid scams.
Tips for Better Outcomes
- Verify first, offer second: ask for a live check of analytics before you commit to a price.
- Explain your number: a short message with a reason works better than a bare low amount.
- Remember the fees: the escrow fee is added on top for the buyer and taken from the sale for the seller, so factor it into your price.
- Premium members pay a lower fee percentage; see Premium membership.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I send a new offer after one expires?
Yes. Once an offer has expired or been answered, you can send a new one within the daily limit.
Can the seller change the price after accepting?
The accepted amount is what goes into escrow. If either side tries to change the terms, use chat and, if needed, support.
Do I need an offer to buy at the listed price?
No. You can start a purchase at the listed price directly; offers are optional.
